2008 Police Officer Testing Schedule
Note: Police Officer testing schedule is provided as a guide for candidates and considered tentative until the month prior to the event.
Electronic versions of the Statement of Personal History and the Required Documents List are now available on-line.
When you pass the written exam and Physical Ability Test you will be required to turn in a completed Statement of Personal History (SPH) document. This document will be collected at the Oral interview. The SPH will be used to start your background investigation and the completed form will be evaluated to assist in determining your suitability to become a Portland Police Officer.

Note: Updated Body Art Policy (Directive 1110.00)
Members will not expose any offensive forms of body art while on duty. Offensive forms of body art include images which are sexually explicit, racially and/or sexually biased or could be viewed as discriminatory in nature. Visible body art on the face and neck are prohibited, except for reasonable cosmetic purposes. Members with visible tattoos prior to August 1, 2000 are exempt from this provision. For the purposes of this directive, body art is defined as procedures used to alter the body's appearance including, but not limited to, branding, scarification and tattoos.
